It has been along time since Todd & Holland has offered an award winning tea from the Tung Ting competition in Lugu, where the Tung Ting (or Dong Ding) mountain is located. Competition has been held for 35 years. The number of entries is huge. The judging is extensive. Each producer submits 12.6 kgs of tea. After the tea for judging is weighed out, over 9 kgs are set aside to be packaged and sold. Todd & Holland obtained a small quantity of this particular tea that was given 2 plums, around 34% of the teas submitted receive a 2 plum award. It is not the highest, but it is affordable. The lot of the tea that wins will sell for several thousand dollars a kilo. This brew is nutty and sweet and a winner.
