In Japan, cherry blossoms are celebrated beginning in late March through the end of April. Cherry blossom trees are different from other cherry trees as they do not produce fruit. The Japanese word for cherry blossoms is Sakura.
We are currently offering a green tea blend of Sakura leaves and flower, Sencha, and Kukicha. The flowers in this green tea offer a natural subtle sweetness.
The lifespan of the Sakura or Cherry Blossoms is short, and the Japanese refer to this time as “mono no aware,” or nothing lasts forever. And, because this tea is seasonal, it is only available while supplies last. Stop into the store or order online to taste the tea that welcomes spring.
