"Fu Soonga" Smokey Assam TGFOP


Master tea makers have surprised us with this tea; perhaps Assam’s first real smoky tea!
Fu Soonga is a very popular Assamese type of cooking. Fu means to blow and Soonga means cane.
The tea maker’s idea was to blow smoke from wild timber through these bamboo canes on the tea leaves during their production. The result definitely must be tried: a smooth and aromatic Assam with light, well-balanced notes of smoky nuances.

Ingredients: Black tea from China

Brewing Instructions
  1. Use level 3/4 teaspoon of tea per 6 ounces of water.
  2. Bring water to boil.
  3. Pour over leaves; steep for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Remove leaves from tea.
  5. Enjoy!
