The teas picked before April 5 (Qing Ming) are prized. This offering is from Fujian. The trees have been dormant all winter and this batch was made from the very first picking of the leaves. The aroma brings to mind grilled fruits and floral notes. Intriguing, subtle nuances will make you go for a second cup, just to get your head around what you are actually drinking. These teas from old wild trees have a certain "wildness" to them.

Ingredients: China black tea

Brewing Instructions
  1. Use 2g (1 scant tablespoon) of tea per 6 ounces of water.
  2. Bring water to 205° F.
  3. Pour over leaves; steep for 4 minutes.
  4. Remove leaves from tea.
  5. Enjoy!
