Size

Stems of high quality Gyokuro. A blend  from Yabukita & Tsuyuhikari bushes.  In Yame, the tea bushes are covered for 16 days with straw mats to keep the leaves from the sun before the leaves are hand-picked from the bushes.  The leaves are sorted by size and appearance (good looking leaves are highly prized) and removed from the stems.  The stems and small broken leaves that remain are what make up this Kukicha. This tea tends to be a little lighter and smoother than our Kukicha Supreme from Sencha production.  

Ingredients: Japan green tea

Brewing Instructions
  1. Use 3/4 teaspoon of tea per 6 ounces of water.
  2. Bring water to 185° F.
  3. Pour over leaves; steep for 2 minutes.
  4. Remove leaves from tea.
  5. Enjoy!
  6. Reinfuse 3-4 times, increasing time by 50% each infusion.
