Earth, Soul and Fire Organic Houjicha


When making Houjicha, the leaves are roasted instead of steamed, giving the tea a nutty taste. This organic Houjicha is made from roasted organic Bancha and is harvested between the first and second harvests.  Besides being organic, Houjicha contains the lowest level of caffeine of any Japanese Green Tea. This tea has an earthly aroma and calming taste that nourishes the soul.

Ingredients: Japanese green tea

Brewing Instructions
  1. Use 3 teaspoons of tea per 6 ounces of water.
  2. Bring water to a boil (212° F)
  3. Pour over leaves; steep for 45 seconds to a minute
  4. Remove leaves from tea.
  5. Enjoy hot or cold!
